MyHome: Get off the rental cycle or be a home owner sooner than you think!

MyHome is a Tasmanian Government initiative aimed at assisting eligible home buyers to build or purchase a home to live in. Bank of us is the only Tasmanian Government current accredited lending service provider for MyHome. Under MyHome, an eligible home buyer’s home will be jointly purchased with Homes Tasmania, helping owner occupier home buyers to buy their own home sooner.

FHOG (First Home Owners Grant)
​​A first home owner grant is available to eligible applicants who purchase or build a new home in Tasmania from 1 July 2016. ​​A new home is a home that has not previously been occupied or sold as a place of residence and includes kit homes.​ The grant currently available is:
$30,000: for transactions that commence between 1 April 2021 and 30 June 2024.
